Sumit runs away by Mahesh Suvarna
Mahesh Suvarna, today a senior banking official, found
inspiration for his first book in his college days as an
engineering student at Mumbai’s VJTI College. Set around
the life and times of a group of friends he made there, this
debut work uses humour, poetry and a hint of surrealism
to expose the rot in the Indian educational system as well
as the weak ties that bind us to our friends, our destinies
and our sanities.
Through the protagonist, Sumit, Suvarna takes us on a
